Jeremy Smithson is co-owner of Seattle Washington-based Puget Sound Solar and its division EV Support. If you count scooters and e-bikes, he has been using electric vehicles since 2003. He has owned and driven electric cars since 2006 and his company has installed charging stations since 2010 including as a participant in the EV Project in 2011-2013. Since then, they have installed over 1,600 charging stations of all types and for customers ranging from homeowners to government agencies. He has been an active proponent of transportation electrification policy and participates in various stakeholder groups to help inform elected
officials, utilities, and regulators. This has been a natural fit with the solar + storage installation work that is the mainstay of his company since 2001, especially now that storage of electricity is going to be a key aspect of tackling the challenges of electrifying everything.
