Ryan Bird

Ryan Bird leads Energy Solutions’ clean transportation and demand management practice areas. His role is to define and launch products that help utilities leverage buildings and vehicles as grid management resources to drive emissions reductions.

At Energy Solutions he has managed and worked on innovative projects in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, automated demand response, e-mobility, and other DER technologies. In his nine years at Energy Solutions, Ryan has worked with utilities across the country to design and implement programs that accelerate the deployment of solutions to fight climate change. His areas of expertise include program design, market assessment, and emerging technology deployment. Ryan has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University.
