LADWP has now integrated over 18,000 EV chargers into its distribution system at various locations within its service territory. This session will explore how utilities are utilizing various methods to optimize and enable EV load management on its grid including rate design, load shifting, and providing dist capacity heat maps. In addition, this session will cover programs that utilities are deploying to allow EV charging operators and customers to manage their load to minimize impacts on their grid and reduce peak demand costs.
