Carl Kalin serves as both a strategic advisor to RER and as the grant manager for DOE SBIR and other grant programs. He is also co founder and senior partner with CREED (Consortium for Retail Energy Data) which provides EV Tracker reports to utilities on the EV population in their service territories by Zip Code. His grant project includes the use of EV telematics by utilities to manage charging in single family and multi-unit dwellings with an emphasis overcoming the hurdles to equity and adoption. He also led the effort to create an EV Digital Equity Platform in software for measuring equity related issues in the residential renter segment.
Prior to providing the industry with EV Tracker, Mr.Kalin led the CREED efforts for ten years to provide the de facto standard on light bulb sales in the residential segment known as LightTracker which has been sited in the Federal Register as a trusted source of sales reporting used by DOE for policy planning.
