*Andrew Duvall

Dr. Andrew Duvall is a transportation behavior analyst in the Center for Integrated Mobility Sciences at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. He serves as PI and project lead for micromobility research in the US Department of Energy’s SMART Mobility efforts to understand emerging transportation trends. Much of his work centers on emerging technologies and practices, including behavioral adoption, mobility electrification, automated mobility, e-scooters, e-bikes, and how to foster energy and emissions improvements for communities.

Dr. Duvall leads projects within the DOE Technologist in Community program, supporting positive energy and mobility outcomes in workforce and rural contexts. Previously, he coordinated an ARPA-E TRANSNET program designed to enable mobility shifts using incentives and other behavioral levers to reduce car dependence and promote use of shared mobility options. Dr. Duvall served for two years as a United States Peace Corps volunteer in Kyrgyzstan.
