As the Deputy Executive Director, Kristian leads CalETC’s regulatory advocacy before California state agencies such as the Air Resources Board, Energy Commission, and Building Standards Commission. He provides advice and counsel to the CalETC Board and Members on strategic regulatory proceedings and develops CalETC’s policy recommendations. Kristian works closely with all EV stakeholders from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to ensure that CalETC advocates for smart regulations that will accelerate adoption of zero-emission transportation in a way that both supports the market’s demands and provides access for all Californians.  

Kristian received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a J.D. and LL.M. in International Water Law from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law.
