Sergej MarojevicCEO & Co-Founder
I was born in former Yugoslavia and am a Serbian national. My life's journey has been marked by resilience, adaptability, and a deep commitment to the field of electrical and construction work. Unfortunately, the civil war in Yugoslavia, which began in 1990 and lasted until 2000, forced me to leave my homeland and seek a new beginning in the United States.
Upon my arrival in the USA, I embraced any job opportunity that came my way, initially finding my footing in the construction industry. Despite the language barrier, I persevered, determined to build a brighter future for myself. As I honed my English language skills and developed my communication abilities, I gradually ascended the ladder of success.
Over the years, I've been involved in a multitude of construction projects, making it challenging to select just one as a reference point due to my extensive experience in various trades within the construction field. However, I dedicated a significant portion of my career to the electrical field, obtaining licenses and certifications in multiple electrical disciplines.
In recent years, my focus has shifted towards green and renewable energy. I pursued an EVITP certification, a requirement for the CALeVIP program, and have actively worked on solar and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects, including charging stations. I've led projects for diverse clients, from multifamily buildings to commercial properties, banks, and public parking facilities. I take pride in having overseen the installation of over 30,000 EV chargers, demonstrating my expertise in this sector.
My professional journey has seen me transition from being a Senior Project Manager, providing technical leadership for multifunctional project teams, to my current role as the Co-Founder and CEO of Qcharge, a company that serves as a comprehensive solution for EV infrastructure needs.
With extensive experience in various aspects of the construction industry, from residential to industrial, commercial, and remodeling projects, I have a proven track record of managing diverse teams and complex projects with budgets ranging from $20-75 million. My project management expertise spans over seven years, with a total of 17+ years dedicated to electrical project management.
I've built a reputation for successfully collaborating with clients and peers, driving projects to completion within deadlines and budgets, and excelling in negotiations with vendors, subcontractors, and customers. My proactive approach, coupled with effective problem-solving skills, ensures that projects stay on track and deliver exceptional results.
As an organized and motivated professional, I am eager to apply my time management and organizational skills to various environments. I am involved in senior-level opportunities that allow me to further expand my skills while contributing to company growth.
