Fahad Rashid is the Manager of Electrification at EPE and has been working in the energy and electric utility sector for over 12 years. He specializes in bridging business and technical domains to create holistic solutions. His expertise covers transportation and building electrification, demand response, energy efficiency, distributed energy storage, and Advanced Metering Infrastructure. Fahad is well-versed in navigating regulatory processes and regularly engages with public and private stakeholders to foster open discussions on various programs, ensuring alignment with the Ontario energy market. Fahad has facilitated multiple stakeholder engagement sessions related to distributed energy resources and electrification with various parties in the renewable, battery storage, and capacity procurement sectors in Ontario.

His recent experience includes leading the EV readiness plan for the City of Paducah, Kentucky where he is responsible for managing the project activities and coordinating with the Paducah Power System to ensure all tasks required to complete the readiness plan are delivered as per the agreed upon schedule. He is also working as the lead on a project with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) where EPE is acting as the technical advisor supporting MassDOT with the development of the RFP document, coordinating interconnection process with the local utilities, conducting hosting capacity analysis, developing an EV forecasting model to determine the load consumption requirements, and determining alternative on-site generation options. Fahad's talents extend to project management across a broad spectrum of technology solutions, with a knack for seamless coordination with management and cross-functional teams. His excellent communication skills allow him to establish positive relationships with customers, staff, and all levels of management.
