Dr. Tallis Blalack has been working in the EV space for the last 14 years and on electrified roadways (wireless inductive charging) for the last 10 years. He was a founding member of the ASPIRE NSF Research Center and was its Managing Director for the first three years. One of Tallis' key responsibilities at ASPIRE was leading their electric road system pilots. He is now a Principal at Tech-To-Market Advisor with a focus on EV infrastructure. Tallis is currently an Electrified Roadways Consultant at Central Florida Expressway Authority for their electric road system pilot.
Dr. Blalack is a highly accomplished technology executive with a unique combination of experience in the full technology life cycle from research to commercialization to scale-up. He deploys his time and talent in advancing technologies to improve the planet’s sustainability. Tallis has held senior leadership roles at research centers and Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups, including two startups he co-founded. His experience spans multiple industries including electric vehicles, EV infrastructure, industrial IoT, solar, semiconductors, and software.
Tallis holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford. His perfect day of rejuvenation starts with canyoneering in the Sierras. He also enjoys rock climbing, playing volleyball, and traveling with family.
