Brian Booher develops and implements strategies to accelerate the adoption of zero-emissions vehicles in Montgomery County, MD. This role includes engaging and educating residents and businesses about the benefits of electric vehicles, how to use and install EV charging, and ways to save money. Brian also coordinates with other jurisdictions and organizations in the greater Washington DC region to share successful approaches and align policy. Brian joined County government after 13 years as a consultant and implementer for the ENERGY STAR program and utility programs, working on a wide range of technologies, including residential windows, LED lighting, and heat pump water heaters. Brian grew up in Montgomery County and lives there with his wife, 2 kids, and a cat. When he’s not promoting electric vehicles, Brian likes to snowboard and ride bicycles.
